Our products aren’t mass produced in a factory overseas. We run a small-batch operation, teaming up with local plastics recycling manufacturer Defy Design to produce and release a limited number of items each run. Here's why:

• Quality first - every product is finished, checked over and quality tested by real people before they're sent to you
• Create minimal waste - we don’t want to over produce a colourway or product that we might love, but doesn’t resonate with you
• Quick iterations - we'll listen to your feedback to tweak products, add new colourways or even new products
• Play around with colour - that's half the fun of this gig, we're keen to regularly shake it up and release new colourways

This means each colourway is a limited edition. So if you fall in love with one, get them before they retire to make room for some new friends.

Each product is one-of-a-kind.

We craft our pieces from recycled plastic sheets made up of tens of thousands of colourful pellets, mixed and matched in endless combinations.

To keep things consistent, we colour-match our plastic to Pantone shades and carefully control the colour ratios in every sheet.

So while each piece has its own unique pattern, the general look / vibe you see in our product shots is what you'll get.

Our range is made from HDPE (high density polyethylene) sheets, from Australian post-consumer and post-industrial HDPE plastic.

100% recycled and 100% recyclable.

We use post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste from Australia — stuff that would otherwise end up in landfill.

By sourcing locally, we tackle the waste problem in our own backyard, guarantee the plastic is genuinely recycled, and keep our footprint small.

Our first release is made of agricultural waste, more specifically, vast grain bunker tarps (look them up, it's hectic) which otherwise would often be buried or burnt after use.

We partner with the team at Defy Design, a plastics recycling manufacturer and product design studio, to transform plastic waste into our pretty neat furniture.

Their factory is in Botany, NSW and operates on 100% renewable energy.

Our products are cut from giant plastic sheets. With this in mind, we've design each piece and organised the sheet layout to use the material as efficiently as possible.

Large enough leftover bits become samples / festive decorations, while smaller scraps are ground down and melted into new sheets.

All our products are thoughtfully packaged to keep our footprint light and your items safe:

• Our furniture ships in boxes made of 100% recycled Australian cardboard
• We use a honeycomb insert to pad and protect your pieces; made of 80% recycled cardboard and 20% virgin cardboard (a better option than polystyrene)
• The package is sealed with FSC Paper / Non-toxic water-activated adhesive tape, both compostable and recyclable

While our products are intended to last a lifetime, if you no longer need them, you can return them to Defy Design for processing and recycling. Or at any facility that accepts HDPE.

Yes. Each piece is UV-stabilised, so can stay outside all year round, and will keep looking as good as the day it was reborn for years to come. 

Being plastic, they are pretty much maintenance free. Waterproof, weather proof, mould proof, insect proof, rust proof, rot proof, splinter proof and stain proof.

UV-stabilisation also means that the sun is reflected rather than absorbed, keeping the plastic from overheating in full sun.

Just the occasional wipe down from time to time, and you're good to go.

• Keep clear of fire - avoid seating near direct flames or placing hot metals over 100 °C on them. Fire and really hot things will cause them to melt.
• Bend grooves inward only — while flexing the legs back on themselves shouldn’t cause any breaks (unless done deliberately and repeatedly), this can weaken the material, and may leave visible lines the product.
• Give them a clean from time to time - a gentle wipe down with some warm water or some all-purpose spray will help them looking their best! Use a damp, lint-free cloth, and avoid abrasives or solvents containing acetone.
